High school graduation is a joyous ceremony celebrated with special gifts of appreciation for a job well done. Make the graduate's day complete with a memorable present.
Graduating from high school is a proud moment in a young person's life. Parents and family are equally excited for the graduating student. Parents traditionally buy a son or daughter a special gift for graduation. Consider what the student likes and what would most appropriately fit his or her personality and lifestyle. The items listed below vary in price, but most fit mid-size budgets.
Gifts for High School Graduates
Bose speakers. The incomparable sound of Bose speakers makes a great gift for the graduate who loves music and owns an Ipod or other audio device.
Laptop computer (or a new mini laptop). The new smaller versions can fit into a purse. Prices vary and so do styles and features, so compare before buying.
Vacation. A trip to one of the Disney resorts or someplace the graduate would like to travel makes a grand gift. Book a trip through a travel agency, or auto club.
Gift card assortment for favorite places. Spend as much as desired on one or multiple gift cards redeemable at the grad's favorite stores. Place the cards in a box and wrap as a gift.
College Survival Kit. For the college-bound high school graduate, fill a trunk with a laundry bag, a set of sheets, pillow, dorm supplies, and goodies from home. Include a personal phone book with important numbers.
Sports Club or Gym Memberships. Athletes graduating from high school might enjoy a golf, tennis, or a similar club membership. Another choice is a year of free gym time to work out.
Digital Camera. Graduates who are photography buffs of all skill levels will enjoy a digital camera for years to come. Don't forget to include a memory card.
Jewelry. Give the high school grad a cherished engraved bracelet or ring. Prices vary widely, depending on the metal and if stones are added.
Bicycle for campus travel. High school grads headed for large university campuses will certainly appreciate a better-quality bike for travel between classes.
Money. Money always makes a great graduation gift for teens. Money can be given as a savings account or a check, and some parents even give cash.
A Parent's Gift of Self to the Graduating Son or Daughter
As teenagers graduate from high school, many will find jobs, go to college, or find a place to live away from home. One of the best gifts a parent can give a high school graduate is the gift of self. A short trip out of town, a camping trip, or even a day together is a cherished memorable present.
Parents look forward to the day children graduate from high school. As an old chapter comes to a close and a new life chapter begins, many will see kids trekking out of town to college or to a job. Make a graduating son or daughter's graduation day memorable with a thoughtful gift. Whether the graduation present is a gift card, cash, or a fabulous solo vacation, the day should be something to remember for a lifetime.

Similar to the idea of engraving jewelry, personalizing a graduation gift a
good way to make it memorable. You could personalize with a quote from a
famous individual or your own funny quote. Check out giftsin24.com...they

I have another recommendation to add! I just bought this book “Young Guns”
for my son who just graduated from college. I got it on amazon.com but you
can probably get it at any major bookstore. My son is SO LAZY but after he
read this he realized what it takes to become successful. Now, he’s taking
initiative, being proactive, and working his way up! I recommend this book
:)
